Office of the Chairman

The FUNDUS DEMOS DIPLOMATIE (FDD)

National Advisory Board

FUNDUS DEMOS DIPLOMATIE
Post Office Box 663
South Plainfield, NJ 07080-0663

Good Morning:

World leaders, philanthropists and religious figures throughout history have envisioned a world in harmony. Some have attempted to create societies where poverty, oppression, hunger and bigotry do not exist, governed not by the laws of the state, but by a universal spirit of brotherhood and a commitment to peace.

Although this concept may seem to be an idealistic impossibility, communication is a vital part of the ultimate formula for building understanding among the global population, such as the high degree of global communication capability brought about by the Internet.

By its very nature, the Internet disarms prejudice, dispels the reality of ignorance, and enhances world education.

With every passing day, the “The Net” is responsible for bringing people, from around the globe, together, to communicate with people unknown to them. “The Net” is also responsible for helping people to develop new global friendships.

In this bold, new Internet frontier, there are:

*no prerequisites to membership,

*no racial bias,

*no social injustices... and

*no religious discrimination.

On the computer screen, we all appear the same, leaving those we virtually “touch” free to transfer their feelings, beliefs and ideas using the lettered and numbered keys on their keyboards, and in doing so, empowering them to recognize common but limitless similarities, instead of differences.

Many citizens of the Earth have been left out of this global communication loop and out of what is commonly referred to as the "global Internet community."

A computer and Internet access, two accessories many take for granted, are exquisite luxuries that too many others cannot afford.

Ironically, each day, corporations, businesses and private citizens upgrade their computer systems, discarding both hardware and software they deem obsolete and outdated.

FUNDUS (Organization)

DEMOS (Citizens)

DIPLOMATIE (Diplomacy)

...or FDD, in both its name and definition, dutifully calls upon the people of the world to use their power to act and build and to bring about solutions to the problems endured by the people of the Earth.

A compassionate, international, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, charitable corporation, and a peace-building force, the FDD was established in 1989 through the initiative of private citizens. The uniting foundation of the organization, a public charity, as described by Section 170(c) of the Internal Revenue Service code, qualified to receive tax-deductible contributions, is in the belief of the role of all societies of the world to help develop and maintain peaceful relations both nationally and internationally.

Communication through education utilizing today’s modern computer technology is, by far, the single-most important factor in people understanding the world around them. The FDD seeks to enhance both computer access and understanding.

The Internet has made quantum leaps in the bringing people together, and has made it possible to transcend age-old barriers in language and has torn down the walls of ignorance. Imagine, if you will, people just like you and I, from every walk of life, from every corner of the globe, coming together on a level playing field of free and open expression.

Sadly, the current availability of that communication and the vital education needed to utilize it are far from universal, but it remains the ultimate goal of:

FUNDUS DEMOS DIPLOMATIE and
THE INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF THE PEOPLE COMMUNICATION PROGRAM
:

“The Net” ... a counterpart of the non-profit FDD charitable corporate structure, is a compassionate program about creating the necessary structures to efficiently “recycle” this seemingly obsolete, discarded PC and Macintosh hardware and PC and Macintosh-related software, subsequently refurbishing this technology and eventually making the computer systems available to every school, home, organization and institution on the planet, ultimately uniting the world and its people, with the hope of bringing about peace and understanding.

To accomplish this goal, we need your help.

FUNDUS DEMOS DIPLOMATIE and the International Council is currently enlisting the commitment and support of corporations, private businesses, and government sectors for both technical and financial support of “The Net” program. These two key elements are drastically needed to make the Internet universally accessible. Seemingly obsolete computer hardware and software must be obtained, refurbished and upgraded. Telephone lines and the all-important Internet access service must be provided to those now without. Each and every contribution of computers, software and financial support are essential for our anticipated progress toward the ultimate goals of computer technology distribution and universal Internet access to those with the greatest need.

On behalf of...

FUNDUS DEMOS DIPLOMATIE,

THE INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF THE PEOPLE COMMUNICATION PROGRAM: "The Net"

...and the FDD NATIONAL ADVISORY BOARD,

...it is our sincere hope that, after your careful review of the contents of this appeal, you will be inspired by the compassionate goals of the FDD.

We look forward to your cooperation, support and partnership. We sincerely look forward to both your participation and our awarding you the FDD program’s acknowledgement and membership certificate issued in your firm’s name.
